The first time arrive in Udon Thani Airport

After arriving at Don Mueng airport, Bangkok we continued our flight to Udon Thani for 1 hour. Thank God, we were warmly welcomed by Udon Thani Rajabhat University (UDRU) student friends. They waited for us in front of the airport carrying our list of names so we learned that they were campus representatives to pick us up. We are from Jambi University, Indonesia, apparently earlier than other friends. We waited for friends from the Philippines who didn't arrive long at the airport after our arrival. Next, we were escorted to the campus dormitory to take a break.

Opening Ceremony in Udon Thani Rajabhat University, 7 Januari 2019

On Monday, January 7, 2019, the opening ceremony of this program was held at the Udon Thani Rajabhat University education faculty building. In this event, present the lecturers, students and the school that is the location of our teaching practice. All the relevant components delivered an extraordinary speech so that they showed our acceptance. The dean of the faculty of direct education officially opened the event. Followed by traditional dance performances by UDRU students.

In addition to the inauguration of the program, a simple and often daily language training was held during the program both on campus and at school. We were taught in Thai about letters, numbers, sentences and good pronunciation of languages. as teachers who teach in class, we are shown how to greet teachers and students at school. Like the word: good morning, thank you, pay attention, write it down, do it and others in Thai. It turns out it's quite difficult to understand and say it. Of course this is a challenge and our experience here.

The school gave us a great welcome. They were very happy to see us coming. Starting from being given the opportunity to introduce themselves in front of all students and teachers, meet with principals and teachers, get to know students in the classroom. It is a pleasure for us to meet them. Students in the class were very enthusiastic to see our presence. They gave a friendly smile that showed a good response even though the students did not understand English well. However, they are very concerned with us, indicated by their body language.

Every Saturday we have a schedule for sightseeing around the city. We were invited to visit tourist attractions that were there, museums, temples, lakes, markets and others. This can be a refreshing time for us.
